Hafiz Saeed announces entry into Pakistan politics

NEW DELHI: Within days of his release from house arrest by a court in Pakistan, Jammat-ud-Dawah (JuD) chief and the key plotter of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Hafiz Saeed, on Saturday announced that he will be contesting the 2018 general elections in Pakistan, reports ToI.

According to reports in Pakistan media, Saeed announced that he will be contesting the upcoming general elections in 2018 from the newly-formed Milli Muslim League

The MML was launched in August this year under the aegis of JuD, a front for the Lashkar-e- Taiba terrorist group that carried out the deadly 2008 Mumbai attack.

A month later, the party announced its intentions to contest in the upcoming general elections scheduled to take place in 2018.
