Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday filed a case against eight unnamed people in connection with an anti-militant drive at Char Alatuli village in Chapainawabganj on Tuesday where three suspected militants died, reports UNB. Sub-inspector of Rajshahi Rab -5, Md Sohel Rana filed the case in the evening with Model Police Station of sadar upazila under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009. The elite force members on Tuesday recovered bodies of three suspected militants along with huge explosives, 12 powerful detonators and several hand grenades from the spot after concluding their drive.

The militants rented a house introducing themselves as NGO workers in a remote shoal as they had planned to carry out massive violence in Rajshahi. Meanwhile, house owner Rashikul, his wife Nazma and father-in-law Khorshed Alam were detained by law enforcers in this connection for interrogation.
