The government's disease control agency yesterday confirmed two more deaths due to the novel coronavirus infection and nine new cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of positive diagnoses to 70 and the death toll to eight. The director of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), Prof. Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora disclosed this in a virtual press briefing on the latest coronavirus situation in Bangladesh.
