Educators as well as the authorities at different public universities have said student politics should be practiced on campus for the welfare of the students, but this should not be aimed at serving the purposes of political parties. While there is a need for students to practice politics in every democratic society, if the student politics becomes a mean for torturing or killing fellow students under the banner of organisational politics, it should be banned from the campus, the opined.
