‘Poor probe’ in rape cases irks police HQ
The police headquarters (PHQ) has expressed its dissatisfaction to investigating officers (IOs) for poor investigation into the cases of rape committed in different parts of the country in the last six months. To ensure proper probe, the deputy inspector general (crimes) of the PHQ has ordered IOs and assistant superintendents of police (circle) to complete all the investigations properly and submit charge-sheets before the court on time, according to sources.
