10pc GDP growth by 2023-24
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday said that her government has planned to take the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of the country to 10 per cent by the 2023-24 fiscal year. She said this while briefing journalists about the proposed national budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year, at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital. The prime minister spoke at the post-budget press conference in the absence of Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, who is sick and could not complete the presentation of his budget speech in parliament on Thursday.
