Despite opposition,

The drive by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) to shift chemical warehouses from Old Dhaka continues despite stiff opposition by the local business stemming mostly due to the failure of the authorities to create a favourable opinion among businessmen about the drive. The DSCC authorities have cut off utility services of 76 factories and buildings in the last five days. This follows the deadly Chawkbazar fire that claimed 70 lives. Five teams of the task force began the drive on February 28.
