The Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) has asked the Security Service Division of the home ministry to get its clearance before issuing travel permit (TP) to undocumented Bangladeshis working in different countries. It has also urged the authorities concerned, especially the Bangladesh missions abroad and the foreign affairs ministry, to introduce electronic travel permit (ETP) to ease the sufferings of undocumented Bangladeshis abroad, according to sources.
