AL, BNP to stay on the streets ahead of polls
The Awami League (AL) and the BNP have decided to take to the streets and resort to different political actions to drum up people’s support ahead of the next general election. While the ruling party launched a week-long mass contact programme yesterday, the BNP is going to hold a series of programmes across the country from this week. As part of the programme, BNP will hold district-level rallies on Wednesday and city-level rallies on Thursday. It will also hand over memorandums to the deputy commissioners and divisional commissioners during the programme.
