50 hurt as police, youths 
clash with students
At least 50 students of different universities were injured in separate clashes with law enforcers and unidentified youths in the capital yesterday. The clashes took place at Shahbagh, Rampura and Bashundhara residential areas. Students of East West University (EWU) at Aftabnagar in the capital were locked in a chase and counter-chase with law enforcers. The police fired tear-gas shells to disperse the students, who had gathered in front of the university gate, close to the Rampura highway. The students hurled brickbats at the law enforcers in retaliation. When police chased the students, they stepped back to the nearby Jahurul Islam city. Some youths equipped with rods and sticks were seen with policemen when they were chasing the students.…
