AL, BNP dress rehearsal ahead of nat’l elections
The Awami League (AL) and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) are all set to lock horns over the city corporation elections to Rajshahi, Barishal and Sylhet on July 30. Coming barely five months ahead of the general election, the three city polls are seen as a dress rehearsal for the main battle between the two arch-enemies. Central leaders of both AL and BNP are planning to campaign in the three cities in favour of their respective party candidates.
