Some industrial areas have been chosen for extra gas supply, in spite of soaring domestic demands ahead of Eid, and this is creating an unusual crisis of gas in the capital, Petrobangla officials told the Independent yesterday. “We know that some Titas officials are involved in extending this facility to some of the factories close to them. These even include some with illegal gas connections,” said an official of the Energy Division. In view of the complaint, the government is going to take action to curb such illegal activities.
