Bangladesh was set to become the 57th country to enter the space era with the launch of its first communication satellite, Bangabandhu-1 (BS-1), into orbit early today (Friday). While filing this report at 2am, SpaceX kept the launch time to be at 3:47am (Bangladesh time) or 5:47pm EDT today. The launch time was differed twice-- first, from 2:12am (Bangladesh time) to 2:42am, and the second from 2:42am to 3:47am. However, no reason was shown by the authorities concerned for the delay. After the latest delay, the official Twitter page of SpaceX, around 1:26am, wrote: “vehicle and payload continue to look good for today's first flight of Falcon 9 Block 5.” This correspondent reported the weather to be favourable for the launch.…
