The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has strengthened its drive to track influential quarters such as political leaders and business people. The anti-graft watchdog has already started investigation against the high profile political persons including incumbent and former members of parliament ahead of the national election likely to be held later this year, sources in ACC said. They said the commission is currently investigating allegations against at least 50 VIPs, including 15 to 20 members of parliament of ruling Awami League and Jatiya Party, and business people for their alleged involvement in serious corruption.
