Three projects dropped from Indian LoC list
The government will not implement three projects involving over USD 360 million under the Indian Line of Credit (LoC) and instead use its own funds to execute them, according to sources at the Prime Minister’s Office. The three projects are: establishment of four medical college and hospitals and one national institute of burn and plastic surgery (USD 320 million); expansion of cancer treatment facilities in Bangladesh (not estimated); and Rangamati Medical College and Hospital (USD 40 million).
