Govt to file review plea 
citing 50 grounds
The government will reportedly file a review petition with the Supreme Court (SC) seeking on 50 grounds the cancellation of its verdict declaring as illegal the 16th amendment to the Constitution. The verdict restored the Supreme Judicial Council by cancelling the parliamentary authority to remove SC judges for misbehaviour or incapacity. The review petition might be filed very soon. Attorney general Mahbubey Alam told this correspondent yesterday that around 50 grounds would be cited as reasons for seeking the cancellation. “We are preparing the review petition on around 50 grounds.
