5 militants still at large
A year on, police are still trying to arrest five terrorists who were allegedly involved in the gruesome attack on the Holey Artisan Bakery at Gulshan that left 20 people dead. Two police officers were also shot dead by the militants on the fateful night of July 1 last year while five militants and one cafe staff were killed during an army operation that brought an end to the cafe siege the follow day. The investigation into the bakery attack case is, meanwhile, in its final stage with the investigating team expecting submission of the charge-sheet at the earliest, sources said. Attorney General Mahbubey Alam said that after submitting the charge-sheet that the prosecutors will take a special initiative to ensure quick hearing of the case.…
