Roja Paromita in Toukir Ahmedís Eid tele-drama

DL Desk

Roja Paromita Dey, a Bangladeshi-born model-actress currently living in Kolkata, will be seen appearing in a tele-drama titled ‘Balloshikkha’ produced on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. With the screenplay from Palash Mahbub, Toukir Ahmed has directed the tele-drama. Toukir Ahmed also played a character in the tele-drama.
Palash Mahbub said about the story of the tele-drama, “The story is taken from our everyday life. Every one of us knows this story and we grow up in a story like this. When the audience will watch the tele-drama, they simply be surprised. It will make them feel like ‘I know this story’. For this reason, the tele-drama got the title ‘Balloshikkha’.”
Actor Setu Azad will share the screen with Toukir and Roja in the tele-drama, which will be aired on SATV on the third day of Eid at 3pm.
Roja Paromita is now a famous model in West Bengal, who earned appreciation as an actress also. She is currently working in Raz Chakraborty’s film titled ‘Kathmandu’ and the film is expected to be released in the current year.
Though Roja was brought up in Kolkata, she is actually a Bangladeshi girl–daughter of the younger sister of actress Apu Sarker.
‘Balloshikkha’ is not the first work of Roja in Bangladesh, as, in her childhood, she worked in a tele-drama directed by Noresh Bhuiyan.
Apart from appearing in Toukir Ahmed’s tele-drama, two other tele-dramas of Roja, directe6d by Muktadir Shan and Gautam Kauri, will be aired during this Eid.
