"Let January 15, 2017, be fixed for opening statement and examination of prosecution witnesses," said Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-1.
The five accused are Shamsul Hossain Tarafder alias Ashraf,  65, Md Nesar  Ali, 75, Mobarak Mia, 66, Yunus Ahmed, 71, and Md Ujer Ahmed Chowdhury, 63. Among them, Yunus and Ujer are in custody.
The first tribunal on June 9, 2016, took the charges pressed by the prosecution into cognizance and hearing on charge framing was held on November 2.
According to the case documents, Ashraf was an active member of Islami Chhatra Sangha and subsequently joined Al-Badr as its local commander. Muslim League workers Ujer and Nesar joined Razakar Bahini with Mobarak and Yunus as the war unfolded.
