Sons of Rahmat Ali, Wahida have hands full with Eid tele-dramas

DL REPORTER

Ali Anubhab Rajat and Ali Rubaiyet Sohon, sons of audience-admired real life couple actors Rahmat Ali and Wahida Mallik Jolly have quite a busy schedule ahead of the upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Rajat, who has been more regular towards acting than Sohon, has his hands full with tele-dramas this Eid as he will be appearing in three tele-dramas. These are ‘Tintin’ directed by Mabrur Rashid Bannah, ‘Long Drive’ by Manjurul Hasan and Rubaiyat Mahmud’s ‘Brishti Ba Rodh Ba Onno Kichu’ , which is awaiting its shooting. In addition, Rajat-acted drama serial ‘Palta Hawa’, directed by Golam Sohrab Dodol, is regularly being aired on Banglavision and Rubaiyat Mahmud’s ‘Signup’ at 3rdbell.com.
Sohon will be appearing alongside popular actors Afzal Hussain and Subarna Mustafa in the tele-drama ‘Tobu Amare Debona Bhulite’, directed by Arif Khan.
Rajat said, “I take pride in the fact that my parents are both actors. Their enthusiasm and inspiration played a major part towards me choosing acting as a profession and I want to remain an actor.” His brother Sohon said, “I appreciate acting. Whenever I can get a break from studies, I use that free time to devote to acting.
Rajat has completed his Honours in Economics from Dhaka University and Sohon has completed his O Levels.
To note, the siblings made their debut from childhood. When Rajat was merely two and a half years old, he was seen appearing in ‘Benu Gopaler Master Moshai’, directed by Nawajesh Ali Khan and Sohon was also appeared in the tele-drama ‘Dilur Galpa’ when he was young.
