Alongside Bangladesh, this year special focus has been given to Bhutan, Nepal and Myanmar for the ‘Open Doors Screenings’ section.
On the other hand, Kamar Ahmad Simon and Ishtiaque Zico have been selected for the ‘Open Door Hub’ section for their productions ‘Day After Tomorrow’ and ‘Cinema, City and Cats’ respectively. Eight feature-length projects have been selected to take part in the ‘Open Doors Hub’. Besides Bangladesh, the ‘Open Doors Hub’ section is exploring seven countries in South Asia, these are—Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Moreover, Rubaiyat Hossain, Abu Shahed Emon and Aadnan Imtiaz Ahmed will get the chance to participate in a workshop in the section ‘Open Doors Lab’ for their production houses, namely Khona Talkies, Batayan Productions and Kino-Eye Films respectively.
