Chandrakala to attend int値 fest in India

Popular theatre troupe Chandrakala is going to stage two of its plays titled ‘Tamasha’ and ‘Manush’ at the 11th International Theatre Festival in India on January 26 and 27. Both the plays have been directed and dramatised by HR Anik. The play ‘Tamash’, which features a humorous story based on the lifestyle of old Dhaka, will be staged on January 26 at the Mahatma Gandhi Mancha. Through the play, playwright tries to deliver the message of moral values by using satirical elements.  On the other hand, the play ‘Manush’ will be staged on January 27 at the same venue. The play depicts the present situation of the earth, which is being affected by  human beings. Through the play, playwright tries to convey the message that human beings constantly led the earth to its destruction for their own survival. The cast of the plays includes Abdul Ahad, Ibrahim, Anis, Moly, Abdul Mannan, Shahin, Shuvo, Mithu Rimon, Al Amin, Saddam, Faisal, and HR Anik. The troupe already left Dhaka to attend the festival in India.  To note, Chandrakala theatre received the ‘Panchal Award’ at the 10th International Theatre Festival.
