Science, tech fair begins in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA: A three-day long ‘National Science and Technology Fair-2016’ has begun at Independence Square yesterday amid gathering of students, teachers and visitors, reports BSS. District administration has arranged the fair with the theme ‘Want Sustainable Technology in Sustainable Development’ marking the National Science and Technology Week at the directive of the Ministry of Science and Technology. An inaugural ceremony was also held on the fair premises in the afternoon with additional deputy commissioner (General) M. Shamsul Azam in the chair. Deputy Commissioner (DC) M Abdus Samad attended the function as chief guest and police super M Ashraful Islam and general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, district unit, Abu Bakar Siddique and deputy director of local government section of DC office M Moklesur Rahman were present as special guests.
