‘Skilled youth forces can ensure sustainable development’

BSS, Rajshahi

Speakers at a post-rally discussion yesterday termed the skilled youth forces as the driving force for ensuring sustainable development in the country. They viewed utmost emphasis should be given on transforming them into competent human resources. All the government and non-government agencies concerned should come forward and work together to attain the cherished goal.

District Administration and Department of Youth Development (DYD) jointly organised the discussion at Shilpakala Academy Auditorium to mark the National Youth Day-2019. Additional Commissioner of Rajshahi Division Zakir Hossain addressed the discussion as the chief guest with Deputy Director of Local Government Division Parvej Raihan in the chair. Deputy Director of DYD Matiur Rahman welcomed the participants.

The speakers laid emphasis on transformation of youth into the worthy citizen through giving quality education alongside developing a sense of patriotism. Zakir Hossain stressed the need for building the youths as a skilled workforce through imparting them with different vocational training. He viewed that many of the youths became derailed due to lack of proper care and nursing and ultimately they become a burden of the society.
