Dhaka D8 summit aims to boost trade

DIPLOMATIC CORRESPONDENT, Dhaka

Secretary-General of Developing Eight Organisation for Economic Cooperation Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari has said that different initiatives will be taken during the forthcoming D-8 Summit here early next year.

He, however, said that the summit would emphasise on the increase in trade volume among the member states for mutual benefits.

Besides, the summit will talk about building a common platform for the migrants from the member states so that they can send money to the country of origin without any trouble.

He came up with the statement yesterday while talking to the journalists during the DCAB (Diplomatic Correspondents’ Association, Bangladesh) Talks at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) auditorium in the capital.
