World Standards Day today

BSS, Dhaka

The 50th ‘World Standards Day’ will be observed in the country as elsewhere in the world today with the motto “Video standards create a global stage”. On the eve of the day, President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issued separate messages.  In his message, President Abdul Hamid said getting better services today is no longer an expectation but a fundamental right of the consumer. “It is essential to follow the international standards in all fields, including production, marketing and service delivery. As the national standards organisation, Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute (BSTI) has an important role in providing the desired services to the people through formulation and development the standard of products and services,” he added.
