‘Padmar Prem’
to see countrywide release Nov 1

After its successful screening across Kolkata, ‘Padmar Prem’, starring Bangladeshi model-actress Airin Sultana, is going to see its countrywide release in Bangladesh on November 1. The film is directed by Haroonuzzaman.

With the title ‘Padmar Bhalobasha’, the film was released in Kolkata on September 20. The Indo-Bangla joint production casts Airin in the titular role, Padma--a girl from the 60’s who lives on the bank of the Padma river. Actor Sumit Sengupta has acted opposite the actress in the film.

The shooting of the film took place near the bank of the Padma river in Manikganj.

“I have played the titular role in the film. I have tried my best to portray the character as lively as possible. After its release in Kolkata, the joint-venture film will now see its release in Bangladesh on November 1”, said Airin about her film.

The film also includes Sadek Bachchu, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Alexander Bow and Moonmun, among others, in different roles.
