Newbie Rongon, the daughter of noted lyricist Jamal Hossain, is going to make her acting debut with ‘Monpura’ movie-famed actress Farhana Mili. They will be seen appearing together in a tele-drama titled ‘Athiti’ directed by Yamin Elan.

The drama is written by Jamal Hossain, who previously scripted two more dramas ‘Gantabya’ and ‘Smarak’. Both the dramas were admired by the viewers.

DhakaLive has news that the shooting of ‘Atithi’ is underway in the capital’s Uttara area.

Regarding the drama, Farhana Mili said, “I earlier heard of Jamal Hossain and knew him as a talented lyricist. While working in this drama, I have realised that he writes wonderful stories too. I have tried to portray my character appropriately. I thank Yamin Elan for working in an organized manner.”

“This is Rongon’s first acting venture. She has tried to perform according to her role,” Mili said about Rongon.

Rongon expressed her feelings about acting debut, “Mainly, my father’s inspiration drove me to acting. I was a bit little scared to stand in front of the camera for the first time. Mili Apu (Farhana Mili) and everyone in the unit were very helpful. Now, the audience would judge my performance.”

The tele-drama ‘Atithi’ will be aired on a satellite TV channel soon.
