Huge arms, amo seized in Chapainawabganj

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler and seized huge arms and ammunition from his possession from Dhuppukur village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Tuesday night.

The arrestee is Md Alamin Khandakar, 25, son of late Hafizur of the area. Rab sources said, acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the area at around 8: 30pm and arrested Alamin.

The team recovered seven foreign made pistols, five one-shooter guns, 13 magazines and 40 rounds of bullet from his possession.
