Work relentlessly to ensure social service for unprivileged people: Minister

Ministry of Social Welfare will be more strengthened to ensure its effective social services for all deprived and unprivileged people.
Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed said this at a meeting held at Govt. Shishu Paribar office auditorium at Tepakhola in Faridpur on Saturday.
We are working relentlessly to ensure the effective social and humanitarian service for those who are socially deprived, he said.
The minister said the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working with firm determination to fulfill the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to build up the country as a prosperous one.
In view of this, he said, the government is accomplishing many benevolent deeds for the country and its people. He said that all the officials and employees in the social welfare ministry should be more careful and caring to the orphans and elderly people like their parents.
Ali Ahsan, deputy director of Department of Social Services in Faridpur, presided over the function.
Director General of the Department of Social Welfare Gazi Nurul Kabir, Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur Atul Sarkar, Superintendent of Police (SP) Alimuzzaman and district AL president advocate Subol Chandra Saha spoke, among others, on the occasion.
Earlier, the minister visited the dormitory of elderly people at Shanti Nibas.
