BD Women’s A team to tour to SA July 19

Newly-built Bangladesh women’s ‘A’ Team is scheduled to tour to South Africa on July 19 to play a bilateral series against their Proteas’ counterparts.

The series comprises of three-match one-day series coupled with three Twenty20 matches.

Formed by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), the new set-up has started their preparation for their maiden series at the Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium (SKS) in Rajshahi with their national colours.

Both the set-up will practice together there till July 15 under the guideline of the national team’s coaching staffs including head coach Anju Jain and her deputy Devika Dilip Palshikhar.

The new set-up will then play some practice matches against their national counterparts before traveling to South Africa.

Regarding the matter, Nazmul Abideen Fahim, in-charge of the BCB women’s wing said that the team has been practicing together with the national team in Rajshahi from where they will announce the final squad for the South African tour.
