An Awami League leader has been accused of setting ablaze the house of a poor fisherman in Ramgati upazila.

A case was filed on Friday night against six men, including Awami League’s Char Ramij Union unit General Secretary Gias Uddin and his son Riaj Hossain.

Riaj, son of AL leader Gias, rejected the allegation. “We’re not involved. They set their house on fire and put the blame on us,” he claimed.
