BCI hails proposed budget

STAFF REPORTER, DHAKA

Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) have hailed the proposed budget for fiscal 2019-2020 and thanked government for allocating a Tk 100 crore fund for start-ups as it looks to alleviate youth unemployment

Anwarul Alam Chowdhury, president of BCI, yesterday also placed a set of recommendations during the press conference including land allocation for young entrepreneurs in economic zones.

Moreover, he urged government to fix trade licence fee maximum at Tk 3,000 in first five years, special tax facilities for the young entrepreneurs, reduce the bank loan interest rate.

Addressing the programme, president of BCI said he hopes that the proposed budget will be business friendly.
