Cancellation of studentships demanded

A section of Dhaka University (DU) yesterday demanded cancellation for studentships of those students, who had been admitted in the university during the much talked about  question leak in their entry test. The demand came from a human chain under the banner of ‘General Students of Dhaka University’ (DU) on the premises of Aparajeyo Bangla around 12 pm.

Vice-president (VP) of Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur expressed solidarity with the demand of general students. Arani Semanti Khan, joint secretary of Bangladesh General Students Rights Protection Council Faruk Hossain spoke among others.

Akram Hossain, a student of sociology department conducted the human chain. After the human chain, students also met the University Vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Akhtaruzzaman with a procession and submitted a memorandum in favour of their demand.
