A late strike from super-sub Robiul Hassan helped Bangladesh edge past  hosts Cambodia by a solitary goal in a FIFA Friendly match yesterday at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium.

Bangladesh, who enjoyed the better ball possession and kept the hosts under pressure, could score only one goal when Robiul scored the all important goal on 82nd minute.

Bangladesh despite playing with full authority in the opening half could not capitalise the domination when the forwards looked very much shaky during the finishing hour when they could make it at least two goals to nil before the break.

Bangladesh, who looked playing as unit with good organisations coming from an early scare opened the first scoring chances on 14th minute but a superb exchanges among Matin Miah, Masuk Miah Jony saw the former  failed to take any attempt from the box.

Bangladesh dominance continued in the second half, with substitute Robiul appeared with biggest threat for the Cambodian defence when the midfielder incredibly rushed down the left to smash the home side defence.

Bangladesh, who have been struggling to have a goal and did everything but to score goal, Jamie Day made his first change with replacing Robiul, who ultimately scored a late goal to steer Bangladesh to third win in a row against the hosts.
