2 ‘thieves’ lynched in Jhalakathi, Noakhali

UNB, Jhalakati

Two suspected thieves were beaten to death in Jhalakatiand Noakhali yesterday.

 A man, suspected of being a cow thief, was beaten to death by a mob at Diakul village in the Sadar upazila early yesterday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known yet.

Police said thieves went to a farmer's house in the village around 3am. The farmer shouted for help after noticing the thieves.

Villagers rushed there and caught one of the thieves but two others managed to escape. They beat the suspected thief to death.

In Noakhali, a suspected thief was killed in a mob attack at Char Uria village in Sadar upazila early yesterday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known yet.
