Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Twenty20 blockbuster tournament of the current season will resume with two matches after a day break at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur today.

Dhaka Dynamites will take on Khulna Titans in the first match at 12:30pm, while Comilla Victorians will face off holders Rangpur Riders in the second match of the day at 5:20pm.

The Dynamites-Titans match, a day-affair and The Victorians-Riders, a night-affair, will be aired live on country’s two private satellite television channels Maasranga TV and Gazi TV.

Star-studded Dynamites launched their BPL campaign on the right direction as they routed Rajshahi Kings by 83 runs in their first match. Dhaka will be looking forward to see their Afghanistan opener Hazratullah Zazai blaze from the start as he did in the opening game with his gun-blazing 78 runs that helped his side post a formidable runs on the board.

They have their injury concern though as two of their stars had sustained injuries with Kazi Anik getting injured in a bike accident while Nurul Hasan receiving stitch on his head for getting injured while coming down to the hotel lobby though the latter was seen practicing ahead of the second game.

Titans, on the other hand, earned an eight-run defeat at the hand of holders Rangpur Riders in their opener. So, Titans will be looking forward to make sure so that their middle-order could perform in a good manner as they lost their first game after a blistering start was provided by their openers in their opening match Paul Stirling and Zunaid Siddique hit 90 for the opening stand.

On the other hand, defending champions Rangpur Riders are happy that they have got into the winning track after losing their first game in the cash-rich T20 tournament.

Rider were humbled by Chittagong Vikings in the tournament opener when they were defeated by three wickets before they got into the winning ways by earning a eight run win over Khulna Titans in their second game.

While Riders will be eyeing to keep their winning impetus, Victorians will not be ready to give away anything lightly as they won a big match too.

Riders heaved a sigh of relief as they finally received the NOC of explosive opener Chris Gayle, who was barred to taking part in the last game against Khulna Titans on Sunday.

It’s learnt from the BPL officials that they did not allow Gayle as he failed to submit the NOC (Non-objection certificate) before the match though they later it confirmed they receiving it during the game against Titans.

Gayle, who arrived on Saturday morning in Dhaka following a protracted jet-log, did not take part in the tournament opener against Chittagong Vikings.

As per the franchise officials, they opted to rest him as he arrived after a long air journey but his omission from the starting line-up against Khulna Titans on Sunday raised quite a few eye brows.

Gayle was seen sitting in the dressing room. But Comilla are not extremely worried with the arrival of Gayle as one good ball will be good enough to dispatch him.
