Don’t vote for war criminals, Oikyafront: Joy

STAFF REPORTER, Dhaka

Prime Minister’s ICT affairs adviser and son Sajeeb Wazed Joy has urged the countrymen to take oath not to vote for war criminals and their alliance partners BNP and Oikyafront. In a facebook post made on the Victory Day yesterday, the grandson of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman wrote, “I can never forget how many years ago Bangladesh became independent. I was born in the middle of our War of Liberation. Bangladesh and I are the same age.”

“47 years after our Victory Day, let us vow never to vote for War Criminals and their alliance partners the BNP and Okyo Front. A vote for Paddy Sheaf is a vote for those that murdered 3 million of our country men,” Joy added, ending the post with Awami League’s traditional slogan - Joy Bangla! Joy Bangabandhu!

Joy’s remarks come amid all-out poll campaign across the country by aspirants of key political alliances including the Awami League led Mohajote and Oikyafront headed by BNP.
