CHATTOGRAM:  Port city Chattogram as well as most part of the district today experienced light to moderate rainfall under the influence of the well-marked low formed over Southeast Bay and adjoining North Andaman Sea, reports BSS . The daylong shower resulted in serious disruption of civic life and a huge portion of the city remained waterlogged due to rainfall and coupled with river tide that worsened the sufferings of the city residents.

The Met office also forecast further light to moderate rainfall in next twenty-four hours in Chattogram and some other parts of the country. Although daylong rain and tide of Karnaphuli River created serious dislocation in normal life, the people in general heaved a sigh of relief as season’s shower came as a blessing ending days of hot spell.
