Popular actress Zakia Bari Mamo and actor Ahsan Habib Nasim will appear together in a tele-drama titled ‘Nodi Bilash’ directed by Sumon Anwar.

DhakaLive has news that the shooting of the duo’s tele-drama has already been completed recently. Nasim and Mamo will be seen playing the characters of husband and wife in this tele-drama. Besides, audience-admired artistes Fazlur Rahman Babu and Munira Mithu have played two special roles in the tele-drama.

The drama ‘Nodi Bilash’ is written by a new dramatist named Masud Rana Sabuj, who secured the first position in ‘Natok Rochona Bishoyok Kormoshala 2018’ (workshop on drama writing) organised by Television Natyakar Sangha.

The story of the tele-drama revolves around Dulu Sheikh, a boatman, who is a victim of river erosion. The river eroded away his house and all of his wealth, but still he keeps himself close to the river all the time.

Ahsan Habib Nasim said about the drama, “Usually, a new dramatist has to go through a lot struggles in the industry. It is very difficult for them to get a good director as well as they face uncertainty with their work. I really appreciate the initiative of Television Natyakar Sangha for giving them a platform. Although Masud Rana Sabuj is a new dramatist, he has done a good job. I really liked the way it turned out to be an amazing production.”

Mamo said, “Thanks to Channel i for the initiative for reaching out the audience with the drama written by a novice playwright. Sumon Anwar always makes all wonderful dramas. I am sure that the making of ‘Nodi Bilash’ will reflect his style as a brilliant TV drama maker.”

“As my co-artiste not only Nasim Bhai (Ahsan Habib Nasim) acted outstandingly, but also Babu Bhai (Fazlur Rahman Babu) and Mithu Apa (Munira Mithu) have played their respective roles wonderfully”, Mamo added.

To note, ‘Nodi Bilash’ is scheduled to air on Channel i on October 12 after the 2pm news bulletin, director Sumon Anwar informed.
