Narayan for technical edn to ensure employment

KHULNA: Fisheries and Live Stock Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda yesterday said technical education can make the society free from unemployment, reports BSS.

Bangladesh is now a global role model for women education, empowerment and employment, he said.

He was speaking as the chief guest while laying foundation stone of a government technical college at Dumuria upazila in the district. Saying that the government has already made a public school and a college in each upazila, he added the government is working to attain global standard quality education for all.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to develop country’s every sector including education in planned way, he said, adding that the new generation must be educated with technical education to turn Bangladesh into a develop country by 2041 .

 Dumuria UNO Shahnewaz Begum chaired the function while executive engineer of education engineering department Rezaul Islam, among others, addressed it.

The construction work of the college involving Tk 15.47 crore will be completed within the next 18 months.
