RCC to implement Tk 50cr projects soon

RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) is going to start implementing a Taka 50 crore project for improving civic amenities in the city soon, reports BSS.

Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, revealed this while according reception to the newly elected mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and 40 ward councilors including ten reserved seats for women of RCC on behalf of him at Nanking Darbar Hall in the city on Saturday. He told the meeting that Tk 50 crore will be provided to RCC for infrastructure developments which are very urgent to ensure improved civic services.

Speaking on the occasion Mayor Liton and lawmaker Badsha unanimously expressed their commitment that they will work jointly for development of Rajshahi city for fulfilling hopes and aspirations of its people. Liton said his prime works will be restoring the lost-beauty of the city.

“I want to regain the previous image of green and clean city through making it eye-catching one on a priority basis,” he asserted. Narrating his planning of the city’s development Mayor Liton said he is committed to generating employment opportunities for one lakh unemployed people. He is also pledged bound to build Rajshahi as a prosperous, modern and developed city.

Liton pledged to expedite industrialization process in the city and its outskirts. He said implementation of Bangabandhu Hi-tech Park here is progressing fast and employment scopes for more than 14,000 youths will be created after its successful completion.
