Murder accused beaten dead in Satkhira

Satkhira: The prime accused in the murder case filed over the killing of Krishanagar union parishad chairman was beaten to death by the locals on Saturday night, reports UNB.

Locals snatched away Abdul Jalil Gain, also a member of the same union parishad, from police custody and gave his a good thrash, leaving him dead on the spot, said Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station.

Earlier on September 8, Mosharrof Hossain, Krishanagar union parishad chairman, was gunned down by some unidentified miscreants while he was sitting in Krishnanagar bazar area.
