IGCC arranges ‘Kishor Kumar Night’ today

Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC), Dhaka, in collaboration with American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), is organising a musical soiree titled ‘Kishor Kumar Night’ by Atik Hasan and Rajashree Acharjee today at the Multipurpose Hall of AIUB in Khilkhet of the capital. Atik Hasan’s parents were great listeners of music which influenced him to grow with a lot of passion for music at a very young age. During his childhood, one day he heard a song of Kishore Kumar. He liked the song to such an extent that from that day he made up his mind that in his later life he would become a singer and that became his dream. To pursue his dream he started to learn music from Syed Toufikul Islam. After learning music for a long time Atik Hasan released his first album ‘Madhobi Ki Chhilo Bhul’ under the banner of Soundtek in 2002. The album turned out to be a great hit album, which changed his life and his career drastically. In 2003 he got enlisted in Bangladesh National Television (BTV). Having an amazing resemblance of his idol’s voice Kishor Kumar, Atik Hasan earned a name as ‘Bangladeshi Kishore Kumar’ in Bangladesh.
Rajashree Acharjee had her personal Musical Talim from Chattogram in Bangladesh Heritage Musical School ‘Arya Sangeet Samiti’, Ostad (Late Nirob Boron Barua). After completing the 6th year course she was started Nazrul Sangeet Talim from Shree Moti Jayanti Lala as a Singer she got enlisted both in Bangladesh National Television (BTV) and radio. Beside Nazrul Sangeet she is performing Adhunik Bangla Songs, Gazals and Hindi also. She has four music albums to her credit. She is a promising artist in Bangladesh.
