Many happy returns to Popy

The three-time national award winning actress, Sadika Parvin Popy, has passed another year of her blissful life as today is her birthday. She has reached Dhaka from Jessore to celebrate the occasion with her family members.

On Saturday, the actress had to go to the opening ceremony of a five star hotel in Jessore taking the morning flight. Artistes Riaz and Apu Biswas were also present in the ceremony.

DhakaLive has news that after attending the ceremony, Popy left for Dhaka immediately and came to her family yesterday. The actress intends to spend her birthday with her family.

Popy also said that she cut her birthday cake with her family members at midnight. “I do not have any work today as it is my birthday. I want to celebrate the day happily with my family. However, my fan club has requested me to attend the birthday celebration programme. But, I am still not sure about attending it. I want everyone’s blessings on this day,” she added.

Popy has almost finished the work of Sadek Siddiqui’s film ‘Sahoshi Joddha’, starring opposite Amin Khan. The actress has already started shooting for the film ‘Kathgoray Sarat Chandra’, where she is playing the role of Parvati, while Ferdous will be playing the character of Devdas.

The actress’s next two films ‘Turn’ and ‘Juddho Shishu’, directed by Shahidul Haq Khan, are to begin very soon. The actors to star opposite her are yet to be decided.
