North West Power Generation Company Ltd (NWPGCL) of Bangladesh signed a deal with Siemens of Germany for establishing a 3.600 MW power plant in Payra, the Southern part of the country, said a press release.
The signing ceremony was held on Friday at a hotel in the capital.
Deepak Kumar Dhali, secretary of NWPGCL, and Richard Clayton Reisig, president of Siemens, signed the agreement on behalf of NWPGCL and Siemens respectively.
As per the deal between the two companies, a complete survey, feasibility of the plan, power purchase plan, appointment of the contractor of the Payra plant will be conducted.
Power Secretary Dr Ahmed Kaikaus was present at the occasion.
