BCL man found dead in Cumilla

Police recovered the body of an activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from a canal in Jafarbad area of Debidwar upazila yesterday evening, four days after he went missing, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Md Rabbi, 19, son of Taijul Islam of Khadghor village of the upazila.

Locals spotted the body in the evening and informed police, said Sarkar Abdullah, officer-in-charge of Debidwar Police Station.

On information, police recovered the body, said the OC. Meanwhile, the law enforcers detained a young man for interrogation, the OC added.

Earlier on August 30, Rabbi's mother filed a missing complaint with the police station, two days after he went missing.
