NARSINGDI: The people of this country will elect Bangladesh Awami League (AL) again in the upcoming national polls for continuing the pace of development initiated by the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports BSS.
State Minister for Water Resources Lt Col (retd) Nazrul Islam Hiro (Bir Pratik) MP made the assertion here on Friday while addressing as chief guest a meeting organised in observance of the National Mourning Day.
Monohardi Upazila Awami League arranged the event on the premises of Monohardi Pourasabha office.
Sounding a note of warning, the state minister asked the opposition BNP to
participate in the general elections otherwise the very existence of the party will be at stake.
Nazrul Islam said the AL is looking for a free fair and neutral election with the participation of all.
He also urged all to cast their vote for Sheikh Hasina in the coming general elections. Local MP Advocate Nurul Majid Mahamud Humayan addressed the occasion as special guest while chairman of Narsingdi Zila Parishad and general secretary of District Awami League Abdul Motin Bhuiyan was the main speaker.
Monohardi Upazila Awami League President Advocate Fazlul Hoque presided over the meeting.
