Get united for healthy politics: Dr Kamal

Gono Forum president Dr Kamal Hossain yesterday claimed that the country’s people are getting united in favour of healthy politics by shunning the ill trend. “Politics has to be positive. It should be exercised positively. People are avoiding ill politics and getting united in favour of positive healthy politics,” Gono Forum president Dr Kamal observed while addressing the party’s standing committee meeting held at its central office in the capital.

“We all have to work together for restoring the rule of law, freedom of speech, effective democracy and establishing the voters’ rights,” Dr Kamal, who is also an eminent jurist of the country, said. He also claimed that recent student movement for safer roads and quota reform in government job was logical. We urged the government for fulfilling the students’ demands, he added.

He also urged the people to be united for establishing democracy in the country. Mostafa Mohsin Montu, Advocate Subrata Chowdhury, Advocate SM Altaf Hossain, Jamaluddin Ahmed, Shafique Ullah, Sagir Anwar, Mostaque Ahmed, Ayub Khan Faruk, Rafiqul Islam Patikh, Farida Yasmin and Md Ismail, among others, were also present in the meet.
