Naogaon: An injured local Awami League leader, who was stabbed on Monday over a land dispute at Aranagar village in Dhamrai upazila, succumbed to his injuries yesterday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Moshiur Rahman Babu, 50, president of Aranagar union AL unit of the upazila.

Soon after the incident, police in a drive arrested accused Raja, Yusuf Ali and Maruf Hossain for their alleged involvement in the killing, said Md Jakirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Dhamarai Police Station.

He said there was a previous land dispute between two people of the village. Moshiur Rahman was present on Monday while they were taking measurement of the land.
